Recognitions and Awards


Scout Recognitions 

Emily Rydzinski from Troop 71226 completed her Gold Award. Her project involved redoing the swim record board at Eastlake City Pool.

Rachel Artino, Ambassador from Troop 70320, was presented with the Pillars of Faith Service to God Award by Bishop Pilla. Rachel is the only Girl Scout in the Cleveland Diocese to have finished all four catholic programs. Only 8% of girls will earn their Gold Award, and even less receive this pin.

Senior Troop 70727 earned their Silver Award. Their project involved creating a garden at the Eastlake Library

Leader Recognitions

2011-12 Service Unit Award Winners: Outstanding Leader: Shannon Beal, Outstanding New Volunteer: Cheryl Kovach, Outstanding Volunteer: Marge Ziegler, Volunteer of Excellence: Kim Van Sickler.

2010-11 Service Unit Award Winners:   Outstanding Leader recipient: Melissa Holva and Outstanding Volunteer recipient: Angie DeFranco 

Congratulations to Judy Kuklica for receiving the GSNEO Board-Approved Appreciation Pin in May 2012 for her steadfast dedication throughout the years to Girl Scouts.

Judy Artino is the recipient of the St. Ann National Award. This award is the highest national recognition for adults who serve Catholic youth through girls' organizations for a minimum of ten years. She received the GSNEO Board-Approved Appreciation Pin in May 2011 for her years of service to Girl Scouts.
